Expertise

Claude Bourbeau joined Provencher_Roy as senior partner in 2005. An enthusiast of sustainable architecture, he has developed over the years incomparable expertise in the design of projects that are at the cutting edge of environmental innovation, and is today considered an authority in the field of green buildings in Québec. LEED certified since 2004, he is responsible for the development of environmental expertise within the firm, a natural progression of the latter’s commitment to responsible architecture. He leads a team of experts dedicated to sustainable design and certification processes, and is the driving force behind the firm’s quest for sustainable architecture.

Claude is very involved in the progress of integrated design and green construction techniques.  He is chairman of Laval University’s Chaire industrielle de recherche sur la construction écoresponsable en bois (CIRCERB), sits on the board of directors of the Centre d’études et de recherches pour l’avancement de la maîtrise de l’énergie, and contributes to the technical committee of the Association québécoise pour la maîtrise de l’énergie (AQME). In the past, he has also been a member of the Canada Green Building Council’s Product Steering Comittee and president of its Québec chapter.

Claude Bourbeau is skilled at steering complex projects, particularly with regard to institutional, prison and healthcare facilities. He specializes in mandates with tight security constraints, such as detention facilities and military or police installations, and is a valuable partner for such projects, managing multidisciplinary teams and multiple parties with tact and diplomacy.
