Expertise

With more than 20 years’ experience in Canada and Mexico, Gerardo Pérez joined Provencher_Roy in 2016 as designer. Thanks to his studies in both architecture and urban planning, he brings to the design process both sensibility and an analytical approach. Gerardo is senior designer on several projects, Carré Saint-Laurent being one, and is involved in the HEC Downtown project as well. He has worked on the new Maison Radio-Canada, the De La Savane footbridge, and the Vendôme station’s entrance building. His experience with large-scale projects makes him a natural at coordinating multidisciplinary teams.

He participates in all aspects of design, his principal areas of interest being sustainable development, the rehabilitation of changing districts, the improvement of urban image, and the implementation of programs for the development of new neighbourhoods.  Gerardo has led workshops on architectural design at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Puebla, and has also taught urban planning within the framework of the City Management Master’s program at the same institution.
