The Pavilion is characterized by the organization of the major functions, laboratories and research offices, in the distinctive volumes, linked by a narrow atrium. Each volume is anchored to a central, vertical communication and services, core.

The full-height atrium guarantees that all laboratories and offices have direct access to daylight. The first floor of the atrium is designated as a semi-private area for researchers to exchange and converse.
