Once the firm decided to open a studio in Montreal, a search for space became a priority. With plenty of previous experience in the video gaming industry, Moureaux Hauspy + Associés Designers became involved in visits to potential sites and organization of the space for the new Eidos studio from the outset. The site chosen was a floor in a renovated industrial building located in downtown Montreal.
16 000 ft²
Planning studies were carried out and Eidos finally moved in October 2007. In this project, most of the closed rooms were designed with glass walls and sliding glass doors. Some surfaces are translucent and others are transparent.
The image and ambiance of the project were developed with help from 3D virtual images for both the architectural volume and the selection of furnishings. The workstations were designed to accommodate up to three screens. Thanks to its 3D tools, EIDOS was able to customize the project as it unfolded.
