ANJOU AND LACORDAIRE STATIONS
The Réseau de transport métropolitain (RTM) is a consultative and decision-making body whose mandate is to develop, set up and promote a transportation network comprised of parking lots, terminals and reserved lanes as well as heavy transportation means such as a subway network, light rail systems, and commuter trains.
A priority project for the RTM, the Train de l’Est’s goal is to compensate for the current lack of permanent public transit infrastructure in east Montreal and the northeastern ring of the metropolitan region. With nearly 52 km of track, the Train de l’Est project will see the building of 11 new stations: seven in Montreal and four in the northeastern ring, with connections to the metro’s orange line via Sauvé and Bonaventure stations.
