Reception pavilion of Quebec’s National Assembly, finalist at the OAQ Awards!

Reception pavilion of the National Assembly of Quebec, designed by Provencher_Roy in consortium with GLCRM Architects, is one of the nominees for the OAQ’s 2020 Awards of Excellence in Architecture and is therefore eligible for the Public Award!

Can architecture change our relationship to democracy? This question informed the design process for the new pavilion. Inaugurated in May 2019, it constitutes a forward-facing political project aimed at transforming the ties between citizens and their representatives while showcasing Québec’s political heritage.
