Intermediate interior designer (Ottawa)

Provencher_ Roy's interior design team is currently looking for an Intermediate Interior Designer. Some of your responsibilities will include the following:

_Work on programming and planning studies;

_Perform architectural site assessments and furniture inventories;

_Meticulously prepare working drawings, cost estimates and detailed design specifications for permits and tenders;

_Verify the accuracy of your work and ensure that it is completed to the highest standards;

_Prepare and attend presentations to clients;

_Coordinate with the partner in charge, colleagues, clients and engineers on a wide range of projects;

_Contract administration: review and approve shop drawings, prepare site documentation, attend site meetings.

_Manage projects and maintain a positive customer relationship.

 

 

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

_Bachelor's or DEC's degree in interior design;

_ Mastery of AutoCAD, InDesign and Photoshop;

_Knowledge of Revit;

_Have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an Interior Designer, preferably in institutional or commercial design;

_Experience working on government projects; Knowledge of Workplace 2.0 or GC workplace standards and prepare specifications for CPSP furniture procurement (a plus);

_Creative talent and passion for design;

_Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and strong attention to detail;

_Bilingualism (French and English) both verbal and written.
