Provencher_Roy is currently seeking a quote writer. The position offers the successful candidate the opportunity to take on various challenges, including:

• Analyzing architectural and interior design plans in collaboration with project teams and defining the lists of materials and specifications required for the project.
• Writing technical descriptions that specify the qualities and properties of materials, using their knowledge of material standards, construction processes, or manufacturing procedures.
• Staying informed and up to date on product developments available on the market, technical information, new materials, changes in building codes, and industry trends.
• Acting as a technical resource.
• Working with the Specifications Committee to update the master specifications.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, a diploma in Architectural Technology, or any relevant education in construction is accepted
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in writing specifications
• In-depth knowledge of the Building Code (CCQ/NBC), NECB, and industry standards
• Experience in the building construction industry, including but not limited to architectural firms
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and BLUEBEAM
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills in French; functional English
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Autonomy and strong command of assigned tasks
• Ability to meet deadlines
