The team of Groupe TEQ, Provencher_Roy and GBi is proud to have won the competition for the Colisée District 55 amphitheatre! The project aims to bring minor league hockey fever back to Trois-Rivières, and to help athletes of all levels grow and find fulfillment. The project’s architectural design furthers this aim and will give the city a strong visual signature, with a curved silhouette inspired by the region’s skating rinks.

The arena will hold several thousand spectators and afford all visitors in the lobby a simultaneous view of the 300-seat skating rink and the 4,000-seat rink. The conceptual unification of the two rinks will thus create a physical demarcation of the spaces (thresholds, administrative offices, multifunctional hall upstairs) with clear circulation paths and spaces in total osmosis.
