Principal partner since 2005, part of the management team since 2021 and named President in 2022, Claude Bourbeau has 40 years of experience as an architect. With a specific focus on environmental innovation, Claude has implemented integrated design principles into Provencher_Roy’s practice in order to bring solution-oriented architecture devised in harmony with social and economic realities. Whether he’s acting as principal-in-charge, project manager, or sustainability coordinator, he is gifted in bringing out the necessary expertise and knowledge to consolidate a concept, from all players involved in the integrated design process.

Claude’s breadth of experience in the management of institutional projects with complex requirements and functionalities, specifically in the detention, government, military, and hospital fields, make him a partner of choice who is often designated as a consortium leader. His aptitudes also extend to the cultural sector, in which many awards have been garnered for projects he has worked on, such as the Espace culturel Georges-Émile-Lapalme at Place des Arts. Through his work as a lecturer, workshop leader, and his participation on various evaluation committees, Claude actively participates in the dissemination of research and innovation, and has established himself as a reference for his eco-responsible architectural practice. His clear-sightedness and social acuity inform his additional role of managing business development at the firm, while seeking out exceptional projects and the most talented creators.
