Peter Rankin

Associate, Architectural Designer, MRAIC

Peter Rankin, a graduate of the Carleton University School of Architecture, has acquired over 30 years of experience in project management and coordination. His fields of expertise extend from digital design to contract administration, including quality assurance/control and peer review of construction documents. His technical knowledge and skills are recognized by his peers, as evoked by the fact that he has developed guidelines enabling design teams to manage and coordinate complex design production and communication protocols for projects. Overseeing the quality assurance and control of documents created by the design team, he manages a project’s full digital production, from the development of guiding digital design processes to construction.

Peter has contributed to large-scale projects such as the Canadian War Museum, Library and Archives Canada in Gatineau, the Eastern Ontario Campus for the Department of National Defence, in addition to the Embassy of United Arab Emirates in Ottawa and the new Embassy of the State of Qatar. Peter contributes to the ongoing dialogue between the federal government and industry. Since 2017, he has represented the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) as a core member of the Federal/Industry Real Property Advisory Council (FIRPAC).
