Partner Mélissa Bélanger was in London on October 14, 2021 to receive an award at the ABB LEAF Awards for the Montréal Tower project, winner in the category “Best Refurbishment project”. This gala celebrates innovative architecture on the international scene and sets the benchmark for the industry’s new generation.

Unoccupied since 1987, the Montréal Tower was rehabilitated for a new tenant into office spaces. The use of glass covering 60% of the façade imparts elegance to the tower, to capture and reflect the surrounding urban environment with a gleaming fractal effect. Remarkably expressive and firmly anchored in Montréal’s urban landscape as well as in the city’s collective memory, this revitalization project, helps preserve, improve, and breathe new life into the world’s tallest inclined tower, as well as the entire neighbourhood.

In spite of the project’s geometrical and structural complexity, the new tower is the culmination of an exceptional construction project in which the collaboration between the teams and the use of BIM technology were front and centre.
