Sophie Wilkin

Partner, Architect OAQ, MRAIC

A graduate of the Université de Montréal and McGill University, Sophie Wilkin joined Provencher_Roy in 2015 as a designer. A partner since 2021, she has distinguished herself through her active and sustained contributions to the conceptual development of projects, from large-scale mandates to national and international competition proposals. Her professional commitment is marked by optimism, dynamism, and versatility, spanning conceptual sketching to interdisciplinary coordination.

Sophie has a rich and diversified experience in the cultural, commercial, and hospitality sectors, as project manager for the Stonehaven resort, member of the design and production teams and coordination manager for the Grand Quai observation tower, and design manager for the expansion of the Jean-Noël Desmarais Pavilion at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. She has also been instrumental in urban and transportation infrastructure projects, such as the Sainte-Catherine Street West and Phillips Square redevelopment and Alexandra Pier transformation.

Her design talent extends to a fine mastery of three-dimensional representation tools, as demonstrated by the quality of her models and presentation videos. Winner of several awards, such as the Voyage + Technique Jodoin Lamarre Pratte architectes Bursary (2009), Norbert Schoenauer Fellowship in Architecture (2010), Régis Côté Graduate Prize in Design and Sustainability and a nomination for the Bourse du collège des présidents de l’OAQ (2011), Sophie remains involved in the academic field, notably in the Technologie de l’architecture program at Cégep André-Laurendeau, where she has been teaching since 2020.
