Provencher_ Roy is currently seeking a Senior Contract Administrator to manage contracts for architecture and construction projects in the Ottawa/Gatineau area.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in contract administration, exceptional communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to lead a multidisciplinary team. As a Senior Contract Administrator, you will be accountable for the following responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and administer contracts for architecture and construction projects;
- Review scope of work sections for compliance with contract terms;
- Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with contracts;
- Collaborate with project teams to determine if contract requirements are being met;
- Negotiation and resolution of contract disputes;
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and product vendors;
- Provide guidance and leadership to project staff and related consultants;
- Attend site meetings and issue general review reports;
- Review shop drawings;
- Prepare supplemental instructions, Contemplated Change Notices, Change Directives and Change Orders;
- Review contractor progress billing and issue Certificates for Payment;
- Other duties as assigned by senior management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Architectural technologist or architect;
- At least 10+ years of experience in the field of architecture, including 5 years in contract administration;
- In-depth knowledge of contract law and regulations;
- Experience with Part 3 of National and Ontario Building Codes;
- Experience in Institutional, Municipal and Public Projects;
- Proven ability to lead and manage a multidisciplinary team;
- Good organizational and planning skills;
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills;
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills;
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workload;
- Understanding of sustainable and energy-efficient design principles;
- Experience with LEED certification is considered an asset;
- Experience working with Revit and AutoCAD is considered an asset;
- Knowledge of the latest amendments to the Ontario Construction Act;
- Experience with writing specifications is considered an asset;
- Bilingualism is considered an asset;
- Level II Security clearance is be considered an asset;
- Possess a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.
