Reducing our impact on the environment

The next step in a deeply rooted commitment to sustainability.

Provencher_Roy integrates sustainable development into all its projects — from urban planning to material selection — with a focus on carbon neutrality and climate adaptation. Its forward-thinking expertise is built on innovative practices, ranging from resilient design to responsible construction. Through a collaborative approach and rigorous standards, the firm goes beyond current requirements to deliver high-performance, sustainable architecture. This commitment goes beyond our projects, it is also reflected in our internal practices.

Fully aware that the projects we build generate much higher quantities of greenhouse gas emissions than our daily operations, we are nonetheless collectively determined to implement further eco-responsible practices.

In addition to the ingenuity regularly demonstrated by our teams to build sustainably, our personnel and administration are doubling efforts to reduce emissions related to procurement, residual materials, and transportation.

With our continuous improvement process already underway, the Net-Zero Challenge, led by the federal government, will give us the opportunity to firmly embed it into our organizational practices.

“Provencher_Roy commits to maintain zero Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions through 2050, and to measure and reduce its Scope 3 emissions from a 2023 base year.

We will work to reduce our Scope 3 emission by 17.5% by 2030. This ensures alignment with emissions scenarios consistent with the UN 1.5°C goal.”
