We are seeking a structured, mobilizing, and strategic leader to head our Proposals Department and actively contribute to the firm’s growth and visibility.
YOUR ROLE
As Director of Proposals, you define and lead the firm’s overall proposal strategy.
You are responsible for the performance, quality, and governance of the submission process, ensuring alignment with Provencher_Roy’s strategic directions and growth objectives.
You act as a strategic partner to the partners and the business development team to optimize:
- Proposal positioning
- Win rate
- The firm’s overall competitiveness
With a continuous improvement mindset, you also contribute to the evolution of the department’s tools and practices, building in particular on innovation initiatives already implemented within the firm.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Strategic Leadership
- Define, in collaboration with the partners, the vision and strategic directions of the Proposals Department
- Ensure alignment between business priorities, target markets, and response strategies
- Lead the proposal selection committee (Go / No Go)
- Validate proposal strategies for high-stakes opportunities
- Advise partners on showcasing the firm’s expertise and leadership
2. Team Engagement and Performance
- Oversee the Proposals team
- Guide proposal managers
- Optimize processes and maintain high quality standards
- Establish performance indicators and support continuous improvement
In this context, the firm has already begun integrating innovative approaches, including the use of artificial intelligence tools to support analysis, structuring, and process efficiency. The successful candidate will build on these advancements and gradually contribute to their evolution.

You understand that the performance of a proposal function relies both on the strength of its strategies and on the ability to collaborate effectively, structure work, and optimize available resources.

- Significant experience in proposal management, business development, or a comparable strategic role
- Strong team management and resource coordination skills
- Ability to mobilize multidisciplinary teams and foster a results-driven collaborative environment
- Strong planning, organizational, and priority management skills
- Ability to assess and optimize the use of human and operational resources
- Curiosity and openness to new practices
- Excellent writing skills and strong ability to synthesize information
