Provencher_ Roy is currently seeking an Architectural Technologist who enjoys being on site and playing a key role during the construction phase of projects. This position is primarily focused on contract administration, construction review, and technical coordination with project stakeholders. Working closely with the Senior Contract Administrator, the successful candidate will help ensure construction quality, compliance with contract documents, and the smooth execution of projects during construction.
This position offers the opportunity to take on challenges such as:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Senior Contract Administrator with the administration of construction contracts;
- Conduct regular site visits and document construction progress;
- Prepare site reports and follow up on deficiencies;
- Review shop drawings, product data, and material samples submitted by contractors;
- Participate in the review and coordination of Requests for Information (RFIs), Site Instructions (SIs), and Change Orders;
- Monitor changes and extras in collaboration with the project team;
- Verify that construction work complies with contract documents, drawings, and specifications;
- Collaborate with architects, consultants, contractors, and clients to resolve technical issues arising during construction;
- Assist with the preparation of payment certifications and project closeout documentation;
- Support the design team with the preparation or revision of technical details when required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma in Architectural Technology;
- Minimum 5 years and up to 10 years of experience in architectural technology;
- Significant experience in contract administration and/or construction review;
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and practices;
- Ability to interpret and analyze drawings, specifications, and contract documents;
- Experience reviewing shop drawings and managing change-related documentation;
- Excellent communication and coordination skills with project stakeholders;
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit;
- Knowledge of Revit is considered an asset;
- Familiarity with CCDC contract documents and OAA practices is considered a strong asset;
- Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset;
- Must be eligible to obtain a federal Secret-level security clearance;
- Possess a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.
