The project hosts a vast science and technology research centre for the Université de Montréal and École Polytechnique Montréal.

This cutting-edge facility is dedicated to promoting interdisciplinary collaboration: it offers an exceptional work environment, attracting world-renowned scientists, while also serving as an incubation space for businesses.

Born from the joint initiative of two major higher education institutions in Québec and Canada, the Pavillon J.-Armand-Bombardier accommodates a population of 700 professors, researchers, graduate students, as well as support staff. The building is dedicated 75% to research in pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, nanosciences and nanotechnology, aeronautics and aerospace, soft materials and polymers, as well as biomedical fields. Of the remaining space, 20% is occupied by researchers' offices and 5% by general spaces.

A three-metre-wide atrium extends across the building's five floors, bringing natural light to the heart of the pavilion. In addition to various spaces conducive to exchanges, interactions and rest, eight interior gardens punctuate the layout. An international-scale facility for scientific and technological research.
