A graduate of the École nationale supérieure d’architecture de Versailles in 2005, Allan Simon has accumulated approximately 18 years of experience as an architect. Following his time at Ateliers Lion architectes in Paris and a decade as Project Director at Forme Studio Architectes in Montréal, he joined Provencher_Roy in 2019 and became a partner in 2021. From conceptual design through to execution, his active involvement in the adaptive reuse of historic buildings into residential and commercial spaces (Le Brickfields, 831 Rockland), as well as in the development of new residential projects (Avenue 32, Central Parc Laval) and seniors’ residences (Résidence Jazz in Sainte-Foy and the Maison des aînés in Châteauguay and Valleyfield), has strengthened his technical rigour and expertise in housing standards and regulations.
Committed to creating unique living environments that are rooted in their immediate surroundings and harmoniously integrated into the existing built environment, Allan Simon brings his expertise as a seasoned designer to the development of the Quartier des Lumières, a residential complex on the historic Radio-Canada site, and Lot 6, a mixed-use residential and commercial development in Laval, for which he serves as Project Director. Environmental responsibility and a strong sensitivity to users’ quality of life are central to the architectural approach and language he so effectively brings to his work.
