Designed by Provencher_Roy in collaboration with Épigraphe, these four new high schools opened their doors in September 2023.

These schools were created to address the urgent need for a new model of learning environments—one that replaces outdated and overcrowded facilities, promotes student well-being, and provides the conditions necessary for young people to thrive both academically and within their communities.

Spaces designed for a different way of learning

These projects are the result of an exceptional collaboration among a wide range of disciplines: four teams worked in parallel over a six-month period to deliver these new schools. Optimized two-storey designs were replicated from one school to another to maximize efficiency. The projects’ record delivery timeline demonstrates Provencher_Roy’s resources, its ability to bring collaborators together, and its capacity to respond quickly in delivering thoughtful, cohesive projects tailored to the needs of the communities they serve.

The collaborative approach also made it possible to maintain a high standard of architectural quality despite particularly tight timelines. By encouraging knowledge sharing, standardizing certain building components, and ensuring ongoing coordination among the design teams, the professionals were able to focus their efforts on creating functional, bright, and sustainable learning environments. The result is a group of schools that effectively meet today’s educational requirements while providing students and staff with welcoming, flexible spaces that support well-being, growth, and success.
