  • Customer Société du Quartier international de Montréal
  • Year 1998-2004

Restoring the connection between two of Québec’s major tourist destinations was the central challenge addressed by this large-scale urban redevelopment project.

The Quartier international de Montréal offers a new model of innovation in the design and development of cultural programming within a district defined by an unparalleled concentration of international activity—both provincially and nationally.

Provencher_Roy played a key role in the consolidation and restructuring of major streets and public spaces between the city’s historic and new business districts, modernizing infrastructure and shaping a cohesive landscape strategy, lighting plan, urban furniture, and signage system.

Carried out in two phases between 1998 and 2004, the project received over twenty awards and accolades in recognition of its excellence and its significant contribution to improving quality of life.
