The development of Place Versailles will deliver 5,800 new residential units—condominiums, rental units, and affordable housing—including 20% social and community-based housing. In addition to promoting social diversity through a varied housing offer and broadening the local employment base, the project also reaffirms Place Versailles’ social value and its role as a gathering place and venue for celebrations.
The renewal of the urban form will introduce a new grid of smaller blocks, thereby densifying the built environment through harmonious, resilient, and compact architectural forms. The planned buildings will frame large, structuring parks and lush green courtyards. These green spaces, designed for both gathering and recreation, will also foster biodiversity and enhance the site’s resilience to climate change. From a sustainable mobility perspective, the project will improve connectivity between the Radisson sector and surrounding neighbourhoods through redesigned public roadways.
