Designed for a company focused on simplifying insurance and promoting human well-being, the Zinnia project is located in the iconic Nordelec building.

Its industrial vocabulary, generously fenestrated brick façades, hardwood floors, and open plan free of columns inspired the project’s design.

The entrance features a spacious hall opening onto a relaxation area benefitting from southern exposure. Covering an area of 10,000 ft² (929 m²), the offices of the Zinnia firm include four conference rooms, five informal workspaces, an open-plan workspace, six phone booths, locker rooms, a play area, in addition to a lounge adjacent to a cafeteria, offering a setting for hosting guests in a friendly, even festive manner.

They benefit from shared spaces bathed in natural light, in addition to a variety of rooms with carpeted flooring and felted walls, where they can isolate themselves to work in small groups.

The neon lights illuminating the open-plan workspace were strategically positioned perpendicularly to employees’ desks, limiting the number of luminaires while providing optimal lighting.

The identity of the space is shaped by the sobriety of the cabinetry. Simple details and elegant elements, like the light curtains delineating one of the meeting areas, are enough to create a very attractive ambiance. The use of auburn-coloured metro tiles infuses the interior with the industrial spirit of the building, along with a touch of colour accents to energize the whole.
