The purpose of CAAWC (Canadian Army Advanced Warfare Centre) is to support the training and operations of Canadian forces.
It is a centre of excellence for winter, desert and jungle warfare, as well as amphibious warfare and the Canadian Forces' centre of excellence for parachuting and aerial delivery, helicopter and mountain operations. Training areas include classroom areas and climbing, rappelling training aids as well as provision of training areas for parachute training areas (flight room, landing, aircraft mock-ups). Offices, meeting rooms and shower/locker areas support the activities of the unit.
